Cacao Bliss Balls

These are super simple to make, healthy and tasty!

The perfect bite-sized treat for when you’re on the run or need an afternoon energy-boost.

They’re also nut-free which can be handy for school-lunches!

Makes 24


  • 1/3 C desiccated coconut
  • 1/2 C rolled oats
  • 1/3 C pepitas
  • 1/4 C chia seeds
  • 400g Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/4 C cacao powder
  • extra coconut, cacao, chia, pistachio for rolling


Step 1. Place the coconut and pepitas in a small frying pan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally for 2 minutes or until lightly toasted.

Add to the food processor and allow to cool.

Step 2. Add the rolled oats and chia to the food processor and process with the coconut and pepitas until combined.

Add the dates and cacao to the processor and process until all ingredients are combined.

Step 3. Roll 1 tbsp of mixture in to a ball. Repeat with remaining mixture.

Roll the balls in your chosen toppings e.g. cacao, chia to coat.


**Keep in a container in the fridge for 1 week or in the freezer for up to 2 months. Layer with baking paper in between to prevent sticking.
